I had a request to update the blog::ahem::AMBER. I told (that person) that there was nothing new in our lives but I guess that was a little untrue.
So here's a little back story. Every good villian has one...
Ever since I was in high school I wanted to be an athletic trainer. I think it started because one of my brothers went into sports medicine at one point...don't quote me on that. Anyway, I did a little job shadow thing with the trainers at Pacific Luthern University my senior year and I loved it. I got to stand on the sidelines of a football game and was nearly crushed by giants. It was awesome. Just trust me on that. Well, I didn't do a lot of planning. I didn't really know what I wanted to do other then play softball in college. Turns out, that's a bad way to plan out your college selections. Long story short, I didn't apply to any schools that had the program. Life went on, I got a little more confused, a little more off course and I pretty much forgot about this dream of mine. And I looked at it like a dream. Nothing acheievable. Well, a few weeks ago I found out (very randomly) that Cal Sate University-Fresno has an Athletic Training degree. 15 mins down the street from my current location! Amazing! Coinsidence? I think not. I looked into what it would take and it turns out CA is anal retentive in just about every aspect of their life here. Seriously, some of the laws are very stupid. Well, education is no different. I recieved an A.S in general studies hoping beyone hope that I wouldn't have to take any more general education classes when I decided to go back to school but that isn't going to happen. I've missed the deadline to start at Fresno State this fall but I have to take 3 more classes before I can even be admitted. SO, I applied to Brigham Young University-Idaho (where I previously attended) to be an online student this fall and I found out this morning that I got ADMITTED!! Yay! It's been kind of stressful that last couple of weeks, thinking about going back to school after being out for 4+ years, what classes are going to transfer, blah blah blah, it's done. I'll start online classes September 10th and submit my application for Fresno State October 1st. I'm so stinkin' excited. I never thought that this would happen.
Alright, so it's a silly update but that's all I have for you.
Cameron's working his tail off trying to keep bringing the bacon. We see him for about 1-2 days a week. He's still really enjoying it. Breanne is registered to start public school 1st grade August 20th and Kaity is on a wait list for Pre school. Other then that, we are loving our CA weather, free flight privilages, swimming, going to the library, riding bikes, chasing squirles, lizards and the occasional bird.

So happy for you. I think you will do great at school and i'm glad you didn't forget about your dream.
That is fantastic!!! Good luck with it! Sorry Cam is gone so much, that really sucks.
Yay! That's so exciting! You'll do great I'm sure.
This is awesome. I hope you can get into the Fresno state program. I think it would be a great fit for you. And amen about the silly laws here in CA. I grew up here and I still think there's just too much overhead on a lot of stuff. We'll have to have a park playdate again and we can rant about it together. :)
