the wedding weekend

We just got back from a whole weekend of weddings and let me tell you, we were busy. It was tons of fun, but very busy. Cameron's sister Amber got married at the Seattle temple friday morning. I, like the loser I am, forgot my temple recommend but it turned out that there was no one to watch Breanne so I couldn't go to the endowment anyway, but I did get to see the sealing. It was so nice to see Amber and Sam finally get married. The theme was "Indian Mormon". She was in a sari and looked gorgeous. Sam was also in a indian outfit. Some kind of suit, can't remember the name, but they both looked great. We unfortunately were unable to make it to the reception because my sister's rehearsal dinner was that same night, but I heard good things about that as well.
We had the best food at the rehearsal dinner! A little Italian restaurant that can only hold about 80 people shut it's doors just for us. If you're ever in downtown Sumner, WA go to Sorci's. Yummm is all I have to say. Saturday me, my mom, and susie all went to get our nails done. I don't know why women do this. When they cut your cuticles has got to be the worst feeling ever for your hands! Anyway, my nails look nice despite the pain. We spent the morning getting our hair done and finally the makeup. We had to be down at the Puyallup Pavilion by 4:00pm for pictures and just before the bridesmaids turn Breanne collides with Maya and gets a bloody nose and hits her head on the concrete. Man, she was a mess. I couldn't hold her because my dress was already difficult to breathe in and with her weight on top of that...there wasn't going to be much hope. So because I couldn't hold her all she kept saying was, "I want mommy" over and over again. There was so much blood coming from her nose that we couldn't tell if it was just the blood from her nose or if she had bitten her lip as well. On top of all that she was wearing a white dress. Luckily, we did a pretty good job of keeping it clean. It finally stopped bleeding after about 10 mins or so, but it was such a mess. Cameron did such a great job at keeping her clean and watching her. I was the matron of honor so I as running around doing odd and end jobs trying to keep things smooth. Mainly keeping my mom from bursting into tears over ever little thing, whether it was good or bad and trying to keep my sister cool and help her to just enjoy the day. She had planned this thing for too long to have some tears ruin it. So we got through the pictures and now it wast time for the ceremony. Me and the bridesmaids made it down the isle fine, but as soon as my sister started walking down with my dad I lost it. I was all I could to hold back tears. Emotional pregnant lady, right here. Everyone look at me! So embarrassing, and my family came up to me later and told me that they saw me start to cry! Thanks, thanks a lot. The shoes we had to wear, I swear, were constructed by the devil himself. I took them off immediately after the ceremony was over, which didn't last more then 10 mins, but still I had a pinched nerve in my back and some temporary (i hope) numbness in my toes. It's ridiculous what women do for beauty. Since I was the matron of honor I had to give a wedding toast. AHHHH! I about had a heart attack doing this task. But I had my sister crying and even DJ so it must have been okay, OR really awful. Either way, I'll never give another wedding toast in my life! All in all it was a really fun day. Beautiful wedding and so great to see my sister marry such a nice guy.
